Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities
This position is responsible for assisting in patient care and the preparation of surgical patients by performing routine and delegated duties according to the standards and policies of the surgical center.
Perform scrub duties and related procedures.
Assist with circulating duties under the direct supervision of the RN circulator assigned to the patient.
Assist with cleaning and maintenance of supplies and equipment as required.
Function in the advanced roles of preceptor, service specialist, and instrument room liaison.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
High School or GED equivalent.
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) (or provides evidence of meeting the requirements of the NJ Surgical Technology Certification law in effect as of 12/21/2011.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Good knowledge and understanding of patient flow through L&D.
Instrument handling, cleaning, OR circulation for OB
Preferred Job Requirements
1-2 years as a scrub tech - OB surgical tech experience
Sterile Processing Certification.
Rate of pay isdeterminedbased on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
