RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Surgical Critical Care Board Certified, Fellowship trained Burn Surgeon at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey
RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, is seeking a Surgical Critical Care Board Certified, Burn Fellowship Surgeon at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, located in Livingston, NJ. The Burn Center at Cooperman Barnabas is the only state-certified burn treatment facility in New Jersey. The Burn Center is equipped to treat pediatric through geriatric burn patients with a full range of specialized services, including a dedicated outpatient department where individuals with small or minor burns receive treatment and discharged patients return for follow-up care.
The burn surgeon will collaborate with the Medical Director and Administrative Director of the Burn Service to provide clinical expertise, inpatient and outpatient acute and late burn reconstruction. The successful candidate should expect to participate in clinical research projects, attend medical center committee meetings, precept medical students, and work closely with residents in and out of the operating room. Additionally, participate in a Wound Clinic within the Department of Surgery/Burn Center to provide wound consults for difficult wounds and associated problems.
Requirements:
General Surgery, board certification
Surgical Critical Care, board certification
Burn experience (Burn Fellowship trained or 2 years burn experience, as required in the American Burn Association verification process)
NJ license or eligible for licensure in NJ
