Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant for Ortho Care in Wayne, NJ outpatient office.Essential Functions/Certification:Reviews daily appointment schedule with provider and develops a plan for patient care activities. Obtains Pre-Op paperwork, labs, referral consultation notes, and hospitalization and ED records prior to appointment.Forwards clinical information to specialist at least 24hrs prior to scheduled appointment or procedure.Processes lab letters, referrals and forms, and obtains prior authorizations for medications, referrals and tests per insurance requirements.Tracks labs and referrals, scans and indexes appropriate documents, documents all communication with patient per EPIC standards.
