RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, has an immediate opportunity for a full-time Medical Director for the Palliative and Supportive Care Services program, at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. As the palliative care expert you will have the opportunity to provide leadership, clinical oversight, and strategic direction for advancing palliative and supportive care at our institution. Based in the inpatient setting, this position encompasses administrative, clinical, and teaching responsibilities. The department is also hiring an attending palliative care physician. A great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding program with a high census of patients and consults per month. A desirable work life balance is easily achievable with a Monday-Friday work week model!

BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
Licensed in NJ or eligible for NJ licensure
Fellowship trained in Palliative Care is highly desirable
Team oriented with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to impact patients with a multitude of different needs including but not limited to patients facing advanced neurological disorders, cardiac disease, geriatric patients, oncological disease etc.

Join our robust support staff including one other provider, administrative director/clinician, and 3 NP’s and a social worker who are all certified in Palliative Care.
Currently inpatient based with plan to expand to outpatient at the Cancer Center at SBMC.
Located in Livingston NJ, this position surrounds beautiful suburban neighborhoods comprised of great schools and downtowns that are just a short drive to the bright lights of NYC!
