OverviewThe Infection Preventionist assists the supervisor in organizing and directing the activities of the infection control program for all departments throughout a facility or ambulatory setting, including surveillance, infection prevention and control measures, and education for employees.

Position Available: 40 hours per week 8 hour shifts Days On Call Required (Rotating Schedule)
RN Degree Highly Preferred
Responsibilities
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Requires a current RN license with BSN preferred, OR Masters in Public Health (MPH), OR certified medical technologist, OR a bachelor's degree in healthcare related field.
Must have a minimum of two years clinical experience in a hospital setting or disease surveillance experience in a public health setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Association for Practitioners in Infection Control (APIC) training course or equivalent desired. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is preferred. Computer skills, research and basic statistical knowledge is preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
