The Canyon at Peace Park is seeking a dynamic and talented Residential Counselor.

The Canyon at Peace Park is a private, secluded retreat in the beautiful hills of Malibu, California. The Residential Counselor provides responsible rehabilitative treatment and services to clients in a Residential style campus in conjunction with professional staff. This includes coordinating mental health care services, assisting in patient assessment, monitoring and documenting care, escorting patients and identifying the personal needs of patients.

Key Responsibilities include:

Performs and coordinates general counseling responsibilities.
Maintains residential milieu by ensuring program schedule is maintained, assisting with admission and discharge process, including completion of related documentation
Provides direct care for clients by providing an empathetic, supportive approach to all client interactions by acting as a sounding board for the individual.
Utilizes an open, non-judgmental, non-discriminatory, professional and therapeutic approach to treatment with all clients.
Demonstrates professional behavior and interpersonal skills reflective of The Canyon mission statement and philosophy.
